![]() Joseph Njarakulam As we celebrate the Golden Jubilee of Loyola, we have many things to thank God for: we have had very good results in the past, our past students have done well in life, we have had full cooperation from the parents, good interpersonal relations between the teachers and the students, teachers and parents, staff and administration. Other educational institutions look upto us for leadership in the field of education and innovative approaches to teaching and guidance of the students. Commitment, social awareness, compassion, competence and social justice are some of the values we have tried, and do try, to inculcate in our students. May Loyola keep up the good work! My message to all the members of the vast Loyola Family is to cultivate a togetherness, transparency and belongingness that will give birth to pride in the work we do. Each Loyolean must be a leader in the field of his work and the leadership should reflect the values this institution inculcated in him/her. Be a MAGIS - follow the example of St. Ignatius of Loyola, our Founder, and become a trail-blazer. We must become examples for others; students follow the teachers and parents, and young people judge us by what we do, not by what we say. Let this time be a time of reflection and resolve for greater things to do. Let us emphasize on better interaction and experience-based teaching and sharing. Let us be men and women for others. Our privileges and opportunities should flow out of us to the underprivileged, the needy. For the greater glory of God and our country, injustice, and Charity, let us spread the light of wisdom, tolerance, understanding and brotherhood, wherever we are, whatever we do. May the abundant blessings of the Good Lord be with the teachers and students, parents and all the wellwishers of Loyola. Fr. Joseph Njarakulam, S.J. |
