Yet again the JYOTI Club has proved its mettle. Success, honour, respect and friendship!; we have achieved them all.  The JYOTI Sub-Junior Basketball Tournament was held for four days starting from April 24-28, 2009.

In this second annual tournament many Jamshedpur schools participated. The young stars gave us the pleasure of witnessing true sportsmanship and competitiveness. I am sure all of us here are extremely proud of them and hope they achieve greater heights in the future. We have witnessed some enthralling and exciting performance from the participating teams.

Today, April 28, 2009, was the final match followed by the closing ceremony of the JYOTI Sub-Junior

Basketball Tournament. We had with us Mr. K. N. Venkat as our chief guest. An engineer by profession and father of two Loyoleans, Mr. Venkat, has a keen interest in sports especially basket-ball. The closing ceremony was compered by Sushmit Roy Choudhury and Md.Fahad. While JYOTI President, Allen Peter, gave the vote-of-thanks.

The JYOTI Club thanks the Jharkhand Refree Association, the media, Fr.Sunil Lakra, Fr. Victor Misquith, Br. Maxi, Mr.Sharad Singh, all participants and their coaches, the volunteers and the JYOTI board members who contributed to the success of this tournament.
