On the 10th of August 2009, Loyola School hosted its 59th Annual English Elocution and Extempore Speech Competetion. The contest, held in the Fasy Auditorium, had tiny tots from the junior school competing for the Choral Recitation Trophy while seasoned speakers from the High School and Plus Two battled with words of learned length and convincing rhetoric for their repute as outstanding public speakers and coveted spoils on the trophy stand. Ms. Shakti Sharma, Head of Education, JUSCO, was the chief guest. Mr. Ronald D'Costa, an alumnus, Mrs. Sunita Sinha, Principal of Gulmohar High School, Telco, and Mrs. Ashu Tiwary, Principal of Motilal Nehru Public School were the judges for the event.
