The Frank Anthony Memorial All India Inter School Debate

Loyola proved its mettle once again as it won the Stage - II of the prestigious Frank Anthony Memorial All India Inter School Debate Competition in both the Senior and Junior categories - thereby qualifying for the national finals to be held in Carman Residential and Day School, Dehradun on the 24th of September. 

We were represented by Ritwik Mehta (XII) and Muskan Mascharak (XI) in Category-I which was for the seniors. The competition was held at KSMS, Sakchi and the topic given to them was - ‘The purpose of society has lost its significance.’ A total of 8 schools from 5 states had participated out of which Loyola was declared the best team. Ritwik Mehta was also awarded the 1st Runners-Up Speaker Position. 

In the junior category, the school was represented by Swayam Pradipto Bannerjee (X) and Aditya Nath (IX). The host school was St. Thomas School, Ranchi and the topic given to them was - ‘Man is a Social Animal in the truest sense today as he has never been before.’ A total of 8 schools from 5 states had participated out of which Loyola was again declared the best team. Swayam Pradipto was also awarded the Best Speaker Position.

Carmel Summit 2015

On the 1st of August 2015, Carmel Junior College had organized the 'Carmel Summit 2015' which was a model G8 and G20 conference.

In the G 20 category, the school was represented by two teams - South Korea (comprising of Nivedita Salar, Sripurna and Sakshi Dodrajka) and UK (comprising of Akshit Akhoury,Varun Nayar and Kashish Tiwary) . The topics discussed were - 'Funding Terrorism' and ' Insurgencies in the Middle East'. A total of 20 teams had participated and even though our students put up a good show, we were unable to win in this event.

We were represented by Ritwik Mehta and Muskan Mascharak in the G 8 in which they acted as delegates on behalf of USA. The topic given to them was - ‘Post Kyoto Protocol.' A total of 7 teams had participated out of which Loyola was declared the best team. Ritwik Mehta was also awarded the 2nd Runners-Up Speaker Position while Muskan Mascharak became the Best Speaker.

Cyborg 2015

On the 8th and 9th of August 2015, St. Mary's English High School had organized the Cyborg 2015 which is an annual IT fest.

Loyola School participated in all the events and won prizes in most of the categories due to which we also got the Overall Championship Trophy

Quantum 2015

On the 14th of August 2015, LFS had organized the Quantum 2015 which is an annual science fest.

Horlicks 2015

The Horlicks Wizkids is one of the most sought after student engagement experience bringing all the students from various schools of a city under one roof, thus enhancing their social interaction and cooperation skills as well. Loyola School participated in many events organized there and won prizes in most of them due to which we also got the Overall Championship Trophy
