Loyola School Kalinganagar, Jajpur, Odisha, proudly celebrates a remarkable milestone — 10 years of educational excellence, growth, and community impact in 2026. What began as a humble initiative in June 2016 has today evolved into a vibrant institution committed to nurturing young minds through academic excellence, values-based education, leadership, and holistic development.
The Beginning of a Vision
The foundation of Loyola School Kalinganagar was laid with a shared vision of providing quality education to the children of the Kalinganagar region. The journey officially began in June 2016 with 84 students enrolled at the play school level in a temporary campus provided by Tata Steel at the Plot 2 area of Kalinganagar.
A significant milestone in this partnership was marked when Mr. Sunil Bhaskaran, Vice President of Tata Steel, and Fr. Gilbert Menezes, Secretary of Loyola Educational Society (LES), signed the Memorandum of Understanding during a ceremony held at the General Office premises of Tata Steel Kalinganagar. This collaboration laid the foundation for an institution dedicated to academic integrity, discipline, and holistic growth.
The Early Years — Building Foundations
The inaugural session of Loyola School Kalinganagar commenced on July 5, 2016, at the Plot 2 campus.
During these formative years, the leadership team, teachers, staff members, and the Loyola Education Society worked tirelessly to establish a nurturing learning environment rooted in Jesuit values and educational excellence.
The school witnessed steady growth, with student strength increasing from 84 students in 2016 to nearly 180 students by 2018 — a reflection of the trust and confidence placed in the institution by parents and the community.
The first campus became a place of countless memories — the first assembly, the first classrooms, the first celebrations, and the first steps of a journey that would continue to inspire generations.
Expansion and a New Chapter — Gobarghati Campus
In 2019, Loyola School Kalinganagar entered a new phase of development with the inauguration of its permanent campus at Gobarghati. Spread across sprawling 9.96 acres, the modern campus was designed to provide students with an environment conducive to learning, creativity, and all-round development.
The campus infrastructure includes:
- A two-storey academic building
- 24 spacious classrooms
- Five fully equipped laboratories
- A library housing more than 3,000 volumes
- A football field, Basketball, badminton, Kho-Kho and volleyball courts
- A dedicated children’s play area with swings, slides, and recreational facilities
The construction and inauguration of the Gobarghati campus marked a defining milestone in the school’s journey and reflected the institution’s long-term commitment to quality education.

Loyola School Kalinganagar follows the ICSE curriculum and strongly believes in nurturing students beyond academics.

A Landmark Achievement — CISCE Affiliation
In 2025, Loyola School Kalinganagar proudly received its affiliation to CISCE under the leadership of Rev. Fr. Jaison Joshua, S.J., Principal of the school. This achievement marked a major milestone in the institution’s academic journey and reaffirmed its commitment to delivering high-quality education aligned with national standards.
Strengthening Leadership for the Future
In 2026, the institution achieved another important milestone with the appointment of its first Vice Principal, Ms. Mona Narang. This step reflected the continued growth of the institution and its vision for stronger academic leadership and institutional development.
